How are you structured?
The HALO Initiative is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors who generously give their time and resources to help improve and sustain Catholic education in the Dallas area. The Board will be complete with 12 members. We have three standing committees whose work is centered on our primary focus areas of Access, Excellence and Innovation.
HALO currently has three full-time employees, including the executive director, development director and development and funding specialist.
How are you funded?
The HALO operating budget is approximately $600,0000 annually. Initial funding came from individual donors, foundations, businesses and the Catholic Diocese. DEET provides tuition assistance funds which are coordinated and managed through HALO as well as funding to develop and test ideas and innovative projects that will contribute to long-term sustainability of our Catholic School System.
Is HALO part of the Dallas Diocese?
No. HALO is an independent 501 (c) 3 organization which operates in coordination with the Dallas Catholic
Schools Office and with the blessing of the Dallas Diocese.
Is my donation tax-deductible?
Yes. Your donation is tax-deductible to the extent of the law and IRS guidelines.
