STUDENT AID

Tuition Assistance

The HALO Initiative aims to make it easier for more families to access the benefits of Catholic education. We do that with a variety of innovative programs. And for those who need financial support, The HALO Initiative manages the Tuition Assistance process for the Diocese Catholic schools across the Dallas area. With our help, organizations such as the Diocesan Education Endowment Trust and The Bishop’s Golf Invitational (who provide aid for 13% of our approximately 15,000 Catholic School students), plus other individuals and foundations, are able to support families with greatest financial needs more effectively.

To be eligible for tuition assistance, a family must:

  • complete an application through FACTS Grant & Aid
    (must re-apply annually)

  • demonstrate financial need

  • meet the individual school’s entrance requirements

  • be current with all financial obligations due to any
    Catholic school within the diocese

The application process consists of completing the FACTS Grant & Aid application and submitting the supporting documentation. It is the applicant’s responsibility to ensure all information is accurate and uploaded to FACTS by the application deadline. Tuition assistance is awarded without regard for race, religion, gender, or ethnic origin.
